China's ambassador to Canada has accused his host government of "Western egotism and white supremacy" over their handling of the case of Huawei executive Meng Wanzhou, amid an escalating dispute between Ottawa and Beijing. In an op-ed Wednesday, Lu Shaye contrasted Canada's statements over the detention of its citizens in Chinawith the December arrest of Meng in Vancouver at the request of the US over alleged violations of Iran sanctions.
