Hegseth this week summoned hundreds of the U.S. military's most senior commanders to Quantico, Virginia, for what he framed as a tightening of military standards, a shirking off of "woke" attitudes and a doubling down of a "warrior ethos." He has rebranded himself the Secretary of War, fired a slew of high-profile officers and warned "more leadership changes will be made."
