At the cutting edge, this is being felt by the telecom giant Huawei, whose Chief Financial Officer Meng Wanzhou was arrested in Canada last month. In an interview with The New York Times, its reclusive chief Ren Zhengfei rejected allegations against his company and praised President Trump. He said that he loved his country and the Communist Party, “But I will never do anything to harm any country in the world.”
