The “golden era” of U.K.-China relations has arrived – at least, as far as drinks are concerned. Chinese President Xi Jinping on Thursday joined British Prime Minister David Cameron for pints of India Pale Ale and a basket of fish and chips at the Plough at Cadsden, a British pub near Mr. Cameron’s country retreat. According to China’s official Xinhua News Agency, the duo’s beverage of choice was Greene King IPA. Footage broadcast Friday afternoon on China Central Television showed Mr. Xi and Mr. Cameron sipping their drinks while chatting at the bar before standing up to greet several patrons. Read more
