The woman, known only by her surname Chen, says she feels pressure to abort her baby because her husband could lose his job with the local police. Initially, the couple hoped the country would change their brutal one-child policy before Chen was this far into her pregnancy but family planning officials in Yunnan’s Chuxiong prefecture said they could face consequences.
