China celebrates 50 years of oppression in Tibet

The procession took place in front of the Potala Palace (historical home of the Dalai Lamas) and featured marching ranks of China’s soldiers and floats depicting various propaganda scenes of China “freeing Tibet”. The Communist Party announced that it will distribute gifts (including potraits of Mao and Xi Jinping) to Tibetans and Tibetan monasteries which have “helped to maintain peace” and been “models for others to look up to”. Read more
