Hunan province got to bask in the national limelight last week as China celebrated the 120th birthday of native son and revolutionary hero Mao Zedong. Just two days later, Hunan had some less heroic behavior that brought it to national attention. A bribery scandal led to the resignation of more than 500 of the representatives from one of its biggest cities and the provincial congress, according to a statement from Hunan officials.
