A Letter to the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China

The Chinese Embassy in Canberra, Australia, objected to the title and content of the yearbook (China Story Yearbook 2012: Red Rising, Red Eclipse) of the China Centre at the Australian National University - and got a firm reponse from the head of the Centre, the distinguished sinologist Geremie R. Barmé. " ..there has been no acknowledgement of the letter [to the Embassy], nor a response to it. In accordance with my stated intention, I am now publishing the letter", writes Barmé.
