A 27-year-old Tibetan exile called Jamphel Jeshi set himself on fire in Delhi this week as a protest against the visit to India of the Chinese president, Hu Jintao. He was one of 20 Tibetans who have chosen to set themselves alight this year, of whom 18 have died.
